Dr. med. Laura Schrörs – Specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine

Dear parents, I am a mother of 2 children. I know from my own experience what it means to be a mother of a sick child. Especially when children need regular treatments, it is incredibly important to maintain a great deal of calm and tact. My own child has developed a great fear of doctors, especially because of pricks. It is therefore particularly important for me to create a trusting environment and to lovingly walk the next path or examination together with your child.

I worked with children with cancer for several years during my training, both in Germany and abroad.

There is probably no greater happiness than a healthy child. I want to help healthy children stay healthy. And I want to help sick children so that they can be as happy as healthy children.

I was born in 1981 in Freiburg im Breisgau. Until 2009 I studied medicine in Freiburg, Göttingen and Buenos Aires – Argentina and did my doctorate in haematology and oncology.

As a resident I worked in general paediatrics and paediatric haematology and oncology in the paediatric hospitals of San Salvador de Jujuy – Argentina and the University Hospital Hamburg Eppendorf from 2010 to 2019. I completed my specialist training in 2019 in a paediatric practice in Berlin.

During my training, I acquired numerous DEGUM certificates in paediatric ultrasound diagnostics, as well as further training in travel and tropical medicine at the German Tropical Medicine Society and in emergency medicine at NAW Berlin.

Since 2003, I have been providing scientific support to the Institute for Medical Information and the Society for the Promotion of Vaccination Medicine and head the editorial departments Vaccination and Travel Medicine.

Since 2008, I have been supporting the human rights organisation Tu.Ju.Me in northern Argentina on a voluntary basis.

I have provided medical care to unaccompanied minor refugees for Johanniter and volunteered with street children in Costa Rica.

I am a member of the Berufsverband der Kinder- und Jugendärzte e.V. (Professional Association of Paediatricians and Adolescent Doctors) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin e.V. (German Society for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine).

Dr. med. Viktoria Weiner – Specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine

Dear parents, I am convinced that the foundation for the long-term development of every life is laid in our childhood and youth. This is where the course for health, satisfaction and well-being is set. That is why I decided to dedicate my professional life to pediatrics. For me it is a great gift to work daily with children with the most diverse life stories and beings, to see them grow up and accompany them on their journey with their families. In this process, I would like to give your children a happy and healthy start in life.

I completed my doctorate and studies at the Hannover Medical School, with stays abroad at clinics in Spain, Switzerland and Singapore, as well as at the Universidad de Complutense de Madrid. In my daily work, I draw on a wealth of experience gained in 6 years at the children’s hospital Auf der Bult in Hannover, at the Vivantes Clinic in Friedrichshain and in a pediatric practice in Berlin.

Beyond the daily clinic and practice routine, I have been involved in the education of pediatric nurses, contributed to congresses and publications, and have been a member of the National Commission for Polio Eradication in Germany of the Robert Koch Institute since 2019. I am also a member of the Professional Association of Pediatricians and Adolescents and the German Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.

Our team and I are very happy to be able to support you and your children.

Katrin Eichner – Paediatric nurse

I am Katrin Eichner and have been working as a paediatric nurse for 30 years.

My main areas of work in the clinic were paediatric oncology and neonatology.

In 2017, I moved from the hospital setting to a paediatric practice.

I have qualifications as a breastfeeding mentor and in the field of Kinaesthetics Infant Handling (handling of the first baby: e.g. how do I lift or hold it correctly, how do I dress it, how do I use the baby’s existing resources).

The intensive care of children and their parents is of great concern to me.

In addition, I am a volunteer life and family companion in a children’s hospice.

With my knowledge and experience, I will be happy to support you in your personal questions.
